# Notes Plus

> Notes Plus is a local, Markdown-based Apple Notes alternative for macOS. Notes are ordinary Markdown files stored in folders you choose, so they remain portable and under your control.

Notes Plus is currently an early alpha. Version 0.3.1 is available as a free download for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. The planned final release is described as a one-time, lifetime license; see the download page for current details.
